The DeVore O/96 loudspeaker is a unique, brilliant sounding, beautifully designed loudspeaker that caters to listeners with discerning tastes. As a capstone to your signal path, the O/96 replicate fine recordings with the detail, clarity, and presence of a live performance. Incredibly musical, with astoundingly deep, powerful bass, the O/96 thrills music lovers and imaging fanatics alike. Enduringly delightful, and never fatiguing.“If you listen in the dark or with your eyes closed, with the right recordings you may think and feel the music is coming from musicians and not speakers. The sound is energizing, life-size, full of emotion, and just flows into the room. …There is no way a two way with a 10 inch woofer and a one inch tweeter should sound like these speakers. How do they sound so coherent, how do they sound so big, how do they sound so alive? I don’t know, but I do love it even if I can’t explain it.”-Jack Roberts, Dagogo Magazine“A transparency to source that will challenge the preconceptions of many listeners, timbral accuracy that often left me shaking my head at its realism, and astoundingly deep, powerful bass: these are some of the hallmarks of John DeVore’s O/96 loudspeakers in my opinion.”-Rafe Arnott, Part-Time Audiophile MagazineGrilles and stands included. Standard finish is hand polished Lace Walnut. Other custom finishes available by special order. Please contact us for more information. Sota Turntables is one of the most highly regarded manufacturers, with a reputation that stretches back 50 years. Their latest masterpiece is just that – an elegantly understated walnut plinth, hefty acrylic platter, and keen attention to detail. You may notice the specs don't mention wow, flutter, or rumble. Famously, those measurements are imperceptible on Sota 'tables. Equipped with the RB330 tonearm, the tonearm base is compatible with many popular designs. We only have two questions – what cartridge would you mount, and what's the first album you'd play? SPECS Type   3-speed fully manual, belt-drive turntable Speeds   33⅓, 45, and 78 RPM Tonearm   Rega RB330 Cartridge   Bring your own Platter   1.5 Clear acrylic Motor   3-phase brushless AC synchronous motor with low vibration Drive Shaft   Hand-lapped steel in 360º brass bearing cup Power supply   Ultimate Condor digital power source with crystal-controlled speed Plinth   2.25 thick walnut wood plinth Armboard   Interchangeable tonearm base, accommodates SME, Origin Live, Audiomod, and others LINER NOTES SOTA’s Quasar yet again brings unparalleled performance to the price point. Three phase synchronous motor controlled by the Condor PSU drives a clean, clear, precise speed. The bass extension is more accurate with the thick MDF core wrapped in American walnut. The clarity of sound is found with the speed stability of the Eclipse package. More separation of instruments and voices create a soundstage that is breathtaking at a price point that is not. Stock tonearm is the well-recognized Rega RB330, but the Quasar mount accommodates SME, Origin Live, Audiomod, and other tonearms as well. 360 brass spike feet with pads for improved imaging and sonics finish off the table.
Our infatuation with Quicksilver Audio is almost clinical, and sometimes we just can't help ourselves. With their renowned Line Preamplifier, we decided to create walnut faceplates to give it a bit more mid-century modern flair, and with this small change we're even more deeply in love with this iconic preamp. So much so, that we decided to extend this design over to Quicksilver's clear, yet powerful KT Mono amps, to create a set that's as cohesive visually as it is acoustically.
