Everything you need to convert your standard bicycle into a more powerful eBike. This 750w, mid-drive motor fits the majority of standard bike frames with a 68-73mm bottom bracket. The motor adds 5.9kg / 13lbs to your bicycle, not including the weight of your battery (purchased separately). The pedal assist used in Bafang motors is called “cadence sensing.” Once the controller senses the pedals are rotating, the motor provides the amount of power you have selected. When using the included throttle, this gives more of a scooter feel to the riding experience. That doesn’t stop you from using your legs — it just helps you get up and over those big hills. The cadence sensor is integrated with the motor. Additional sensors are required to determine when you shift and when you brake. The shift sensor and the brake lever replacement for mechanical brakes are both included. The kit includes all of the hardware and the installation tools for the mount. The mid-drive motor replaces your current pedals, chainring, and bottom bracket. Bafang motors feel like they have more power than the Tongsheng torque-sensing motor. This is partly because the type of cadence assist kicks in at a constant speed. Once you are up to the assist level speed you’ve selected, you’ll start pedaling on your own again.
